The trials you will face going to the Lighthouse

Travelling in different places is what I love to do. It connects me to the positive world when I feel lost, upset and other negative aspects that messing up my mind. Among the places that I had been, Capones Island is one of the places I've visited more than once. I don't know what's the reason why I keep coming back on this island. Maybe because I found inner peace on this place, plus the fact that I'm surrounded with great friends.

Every time I went here, I experience different memories from the other. Because this time it rained, the waves was strong, as we trekked going to the white beach it was more challenging than before and we also explore seventy percent of its surroundings.

My friends

Capones Island was remarkably known by its Lighthouse. The island does not contain any shops, resorts, acommodations, its just you and the island. It is suited for the people who loves adventures and camping. I hope it will stay this way and hope they don't put any establishments here so the island will remain its natural beauty.

The Island is located in the Province of Zambales and 4 kilometers from the seaside of Pundaquit. In Pundaquit you can negotiate with a boatman to take you out to Anawangin, Capones Island and Camera Island. It depends on your negotiating skills so you could get a cheap fare. For us, we had our suki boatman, we paid him two thousand (8persons) back and fourth.

The Boat trip to the islands would takes about thirty minutes going to Capones, Camera Island and one hour going to Anawangin. Brace yourself for wild and wet adventure!.

Staying overnight on Capones Island, you'll be needing to take your things with you like food, tents, water and other basic needs.

The Lighthouse

From our campsite, in order to reach the Lighthouse you should pass the Four Levels of trials before reaching to the top!. I suggest you wake up early cause in this time the tide is very low. For us we manage to wake up early and leave the lighthouse soon so we can avoid the high tide and the too much heat by the Sun. I know it is a bit of a hike from the beach, but man it is totally worth it.. Bring plenty of water!

Going to San Antonio

If you are heading from Manila you travel north to Olongapo City, make sure you bypass Olongapo and go through the Subic Bay Freeport which is part of the

Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SMBA).

You will skirt the inside of Subic Bay passing through the towns of Barrio Barretto and Subic and continue until you reach San Antonio. San Antonio is roughly an hour out of Subic Bay.

From San Antonio you will need to get to the coastal village of Pundaquit, which in direction is south west of San Antonio and a bit under 5km. 

If you are catching a bus from Manila, you catch the one that goes to Iba in Zambales, just make sure you get off at San Antonio. From San Antonio you can get either a jeepney or a trike, which are plentiful to take you to Pundaquit.

There is accommodation at Pundaquit, which is the closest to Capones Island and Camera Island.

Tricycle fare: from San Antonio to Pundakit Shore - 30/person

BOAT Fare - 2,000 php devided by number of participants group of 8 or less for us 250/person.

The good news + Avril Lavigne

Isang normal na umaga lang naman ang palagi kong nakagisnan, ung usual lang na gigising papasok sa trabaho at diretso uwi pagkatapos. Ngunit ang araw na ito ay kakaiba, pagdating ko ng opisina ay may binalita sa akin ang boss ko na wag na daw ako bumili ng pagkain para sa pananghalian ko, dahil sagot na nang big boss ang pagkain namin!. Sabi ko, wow thanks God good news maka menos sa gastos. Nabanggit din ng boss ko about ung sa pagdating ni Avril Lavigne dito, napa buntong hininga ako kasi diko siya mapapanood.:(

Paglipas ng ilang oras nag check ako ng facebook sandali, nakita ko message ni Ayes at ito ang aming usapan..

Habang hinihintay ang ala una para kunin ang ticket ay dumating na ang libreng lunch. Haha! Shakey's platter.:) Pagkatapos kumain ay umakyat nko para kunin ang ticket dala dala ang authorization letter, photo copy ng email at i.d.. Pagdating sa media contacts ay hinanap ko si Angelica at binigay sa akin ang LOWER BOX two complimentary tickets!, worth 5000+
isa nun sa ticketnet!. Nung nalaman ko presyo, sabi ko sa isip ko "Thanks God" at ako naisip ni Ayes na isama. :). Alam din kasi ni Ayes na favorite ko si Avril Lavigne. :)

Ala sais ng hapon kami nagkita sa Gateway, at ibinalita kaagad niya sa akin na pumasa siya sa nursing board exam!. Ang saya ko nun, at lalo na siya siyempre. :)

Pagdating sa Araneta Coliseum, nakita namin sa entrance sila Ate Jhosan kasama Pamilya nya. Hehe.. Bumibili sila ng ilang memorabilya ni Avril at ako naman ay bumili ng concert dvd. Nag ask ako, wala bang kasamang poster ito? tapos hinihingi ko sa ale ung poster, sabi naman niya sige ibibigay ko sayo pagkatapos ng concert. ;)
Pagpasok namin sa LOWER BOX masasabi kong yun ang pinaka the best area of seats na pede ka manood. Hindi malapit at hindi rin gaanong malayo.

Naunang kumanta ang opening act na SOMEDAY DREAM pagkatapos ay si AVRIL LAVIGNE NA!.
Kinilabutan ako sa hiyawan, sigawan ng mga tao habang palabas siya ng entablado. Ang una niyang kinanta ay BLACK STAR at hawak hawak nya ang mint green na starlight stick!

Sayang nga at hindi ko dala ang digicam ko, kasi nga biglaan. Well hindi ko talaga ito inaasahang mangyari, dati pangarap ko lang na mapanood siya ng live!. Sa tuwing makikita ko ang malaki niyang billboard sa Ortigas ay gusto ko talaga siya panoorin.

Congrats kay Ayes dahil nakapasa siya sa exam at nanalo pa ng Avril tickets. Sakin naman ang libreng food at surprise ticket.. Whew! dream come true for me.. Thank you GOD talaga and sayo AYES for sharing your blessings. :)

Jailbreaking iOS 5

Now, first of all I have to remind you all iOS device holders that this redsn0w jailbreak works on iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 CDMA & GSM, iPod touch 3rd & 4th gen, and iPad 1 which means that redsn0w can be runned on devices with A4 processors. If you have iPhone 4S or iPad 2, devices with A5 processors, this ios 5 jailbreak wor’t work, so don’t waste your time trying to install iOS 5 jailbreak on these Apple devices and wait until holy iPhone Dev Team solves the puzzle of A5 processors. Woah, let’s jailbreak iOS 5 now !

Just before we begin, I want to remind you that you must have the latest

Jailbreak iOS 5

1. Open redsn0w and click “Jailbreak” button
2. Connect the device that you want to jailbreak, and switch it off
3.  Now enter DFU Mode, if you don’t know how to enter DFU Mode heres a quick guide: hold down sleep button and home button simultaneously for 10 seconds and then release power button but keep holding on home button for 15-20 seconds till you get a notification from redsn0w. It will say that the device is about to enter the DFU Mode.
4. If you have older version of redsn0w then point iOS 5 IPSW file to redsn0w
5. If you have newer version of redsn0w then it will download and jailbreak ios 5 automatically
6. Click “Install Cyndia” and continue jailbreaking your Apple device with ios 5

Now boot your device to get Cyndia to load. After your device is booted, open redsn0w again and select iOS 5 IPSW file previously downloaded under “Extras” tab. As a final step, go back to “Extras” menu, select “Just Boot” option and complete ios 5 jailbreak with on screen instructions. When your iOS 5 device reboots, it is jailbroken!

Millions of Facebook addicts worldwide worry that someday soon they'll have to pay to use the site. Well It's not true! 


Why? - Because Facebook makes its money bringing together as big of an audience as possible and then selling that audience's attention to advertisers. It's a business that works for them.


According to the article that I read on CNN 
If you go to Facebook.com and search for the terms "Facebook free" or "Facebook charge," you'll find hundreds of groups with names like, "If 1 Million People Join Before 9th July 2010 Facebook Will Stay Free!" or "If Facebook Charges A Fee We Will Discontinue Using It." Some of these groups have dozens of users, others have thousands.


During a recent press conference, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said while Facebook users do care about privacy, the question of whether or not Facebook will eventually charge for its service is actually a much bigger concern among the site's 500 million users.


But are these fears justified?


No! Facebook will never charge you to be a member and use the site.
Don't take it from me. Here's Facebook spokesman Larry Yu on the issue:
"We have absolutely no plans to charge for the basic service of using Facebook."


He continues : "Last year we saw a similar rumor circulating that Facebook was going to begin charging $1.99 to use the site, but this year we're hearing that fee increased to $14.99 with the spread of this rumor. We look forward to hearing what Facebook might be rumored to cost for use next year."


If you press Facebook employees on this, they will tell you the reason they will never charge for access is that putting up a paywall runs counter to the company's mission to make the world more open and connected.


But even if you don't buy that idealistic hoopla, you should understand Facebook has a deep profit motive to never charge you for access.


So while Facebook may charge you for certain bonus features, such as gifts for your friends, or credits to play games like Farmville, it will never charge for basic access to the site.


Why then do people worry Facebook might start charging soon? Probably because Facebook users feel like they're getting something valuable for free, and everybody knows there's no such thing as a free lunch.


Just remember: The fact that you keep coming back to Facebook makes it easier for Facebook to sell more ads -- and make more money.
